    Camp Mo-Val Facilities

CAMP MO-VAL is situated on over 280 wooded acres in eastern Missouri, near the town of Union - a convenient 60-90 minute drive from throughout the greater St. Louis area. We are open to serve guest groups from February through mid-December.

A variety of facilities are available to meet a variety of different needs. Groups as small as 8 and as large as 130 can be accommodated in the fall, winter and spring months. Up to 200 can be served during summer. We provide food service for most of our groups.

THE LAKESIDE VILLAGE includes all of our winterized facilities.

The main complex includes the Lakeside Lodge which houses our primary dining facilities as well as the Fireside Room, and three Lakeside Cabins. The Dining Hall can accommodate up to 128 people. The Fireside Room is a large meeting area that can be used for a variety of meeting and recreational activities. Up to 140 people can be seated in rows without tables. Each Lakeside Cabin has four rooms, each sleeping 6-8 in bunk beds, for a total of up to 96 guests. Each room has its own toilet and shower facilities.

Hilltop Lodge offers sleeping and meeting space for 24 people. This facility is air-conditioned, and has a large porch that overlooks the Lakeside Lodge and the lake. There are four sleeping rooms upstairs, each housing up to four in bunks. Downstairs, there are four rooms that sleep 2 people each in twin beds. The use of this lodge is often combined with other facilities in the Lakeside Village for larger groups.

Red Cedar Lodge has sleeping and meeting facilities for up to 20. There are five sleeping rooms, each accommodating up to 4 in bunks. The option of providing your own meals is available, as a small domestic-style kitchen is attached to the meeting space. Red Cedar is adjacent to the Lakeside Chapel.

THE TAMBO VILLAGE is an option for groups looking for a more rustic facility. It is a great site for a one or two-week summer camp. This village is open from mid-April through mid-October, and can comfortably accommodate one group of up to 80. The unique name is an acronym for John 17:21 "That All May Be One," the motto of the United Church of Christ.

The TAMBO Village is a self-contained facility and comes complete with dining hall and kitchen, cabins, large game field, campfire circle, chapel area and two covered pavilions. The shower/toilet facilities are in separate cement block buildings. The six cabins sleep 12-14 each in bunk beds. There is also a staff lodge with three small sleeping rooms, each with its own bathroom. The buildings all have electricity, but no heat. The TAMBO Village is located across the county road from our winterized Lakeside Village and may be used separately or in combination with that area. Food service for this facility is often provided from our main kitchen.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES at Camp Mo-Val include a 7-acre lake with canoes, hiking trails, game fields, group challenge and high ropes courses, picnic pavilions, swimming pool (summer use only), chapels and campfire circles.

Canoeing, fishing and just relaxing by the lake are favorite activities for many guests.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR EVENT, such as meal service, campfires, group challenge and high ropes leadership, wagon rides, and certified lifeguards for the pool (summer only) is available.

TOURS are recommended for new guest groups. We welcome the opportunity to show you the different facility options for your group, as well as answer your questions. This also allows us to discuss and better attend to the special needs of your group. To arrange a time for a tour, please call the camp office.
