  7.  Biennial Meeting - things to bring!

October 20, 2009

The Biennial Meeting is only a week away! This message is for all who have registered or plan to register and will be attending the meeting.

• Delegates and guests are invited to come to the Saturday Night Banquet and Costume Ball dressed in the native dress of another culture or from a different period in American History. Or wear a costume that will keep us guessing.
• Please bring a 3-ring binder in which to keep the business meeting materials – you will need it!
• Delegates and guests are invited to bring gifts of canned food that will be collected on Friday evening and shared with local Food Banks in the Kansas City Area.
• Each person is asked to bring a rock to be placed around the common fountain
• Each Congregation is asked to bring a container of water which will be poured into a common fountain on Friday evening. The water can be from a living source in your community (e.g. spring, stream, river, baptismal font.)

 8. Amtrak to Biennial Meeting

October 21, 2009

Arrangements will be made for anyone wishing to travel to the Biennial Meeting via Amtrak. The Lee’s Summit station is closer than the Independence Station to the hotel, so we ask that anyone coming via Amtrak plan to disembark at Lee’s Summit. However, we can still pick you up at Independence if needed. Anyone coming by train MUST let us know by Wednesday, so we can get names to Dale Parson. Debbie Parson will be driving the van and providing transportation to the train station. Please email Dale at fdparson@sbcglobal.net  or Debbie Parson at Debparson@yahoo.com  to make arrangements.
